Okay this isn't the usual news item, but I read it and the author was good - fun and easy to read. Its a nice read if you are on a break, or a long flight path. Can't post it all here since its a newa article, but will do a small blurb and give the link:

When Keith at the office gives me World of Warcraft, bidding me to “spend a bit of time with it — it’s really addictive”, I do that special thing that women can do whereby you roll your eyes inside your head, secretly, to show that you know more than the men. Yeah, right, I’m going to get addicted to World of Warcraft. Yeah, right, I’m going to join a worldwide online community of more than eight million people, running around a gigantic and complex fantasy world, engaged on a series of quests. It’s all highly unlikely. If I had to marry one of the cast of The Lord of the Rings, it would be Sam Gamgee — the completely prosaic, normal, nonmagic one, who comes across like the owner of a garage in Cricklewood having a particularly bad day, what with this vexatious epic quest and all.

In a nutshell: dragons embarrass me.

Blizzard Changes Tuesday Maintenance Cycle

	Every Tuesday all realms are brought down for scheduled weekly maintenance. This maintenance window is used to perform tasks on the realm databases and hardware, and to take care of any other tasks that would not normally be possible while the realms are live. In the past few months, however, we have been intermittently testing the ability to perform these maintenance tasks while the realms are still up and available to players. Based on the positive results of these tests, we’re happy to announce that we’ll be switching to a new maintenance schedule that will only require us to bring down realms for maintenance every other week. On the weeks in which we don’t take the realms down for maintenance, we’ll only be issuing rolling restarts, allowing play to continue with only a very brief interruption. 	Blizzard has been busy on the forums, collection was nicely posted by worldofwar.net: On graveyards & flightpaths... There will be a new graveyard added to Blade's Edge in a future patch, as well a numerous changes for flight paths throughout all zones based on player feedback to make them more efficient. ... follow the "read more" to see them all.

The Black Temple: Under Development

A new 25 man raid dungeon is under development at Blizzard, The "Black Temple". The current blurb on the WoW Website is short so will post it all here: Originally founded as a Draenei temple, this plot has been conquered and despoiled many times throughout the history of Outland, removing any spiritual grace it may have once held. The Black Temple has been the stage of the Orc Horde's blood curse, a fortress for the then-mortal Ner'zhul, and a prime staging ground for the Burning Legion's campaign of destruction.. Most recently, it has been claimed as home by Illidan, where he and his minions make their bid for power over the remnants of the shattered planet.
