Mondes Persistants : Looking back on everything Blizzard has accomplished with World of Warcraft since the release of the game, what are you the most proud of ?

Frank Pearce : Certainly 6.5 millions subscribers worldwide is very exciting. But for us, the development team as gamers, what’s more important is that we created a game that’s compelling and fun, and when you look at the quality of the game and the experience you get from playing the game, what most of the developers would say is that’s what they’re the most proud of.

No we're expanding the existing trees. There's three trees right now for each class and there will two additional tiers or rows of talents at the bottom. So once you've mastered a tree there will be two rows of abilities below that so you won't have mastered a tree until you have mastered the two new rows below the last row currently in the game. So we're expanding the current trees specifically with two rows in each tree. I am not sure what the plans are because we haven't worked out al the details, we may disperse some additional new ones, because if we only added two rows we would have limited options on that third row from the bottom where for example Lightwell so it;s possible there may be additional talents at the lower ends.

From the wow.net site:  An interesting note from Blizzard this evening concerning BC gear which should clarify a few things for everyone.

There has been quite a bit of discussion on the boards lately concerning how current end-game gear will be replaced upon leveling in the Burning Crusade and we thought that many of you would appreciate some clarification. The basic idea is that players who have recently obtained level 60 will gain access to immediate upgrades from expansion quests and creatures. Our exact estimates as to when tier 3 gear will become outdated have shifted back and forth somewhat as we continue to tune the expansion, however not dramatically so. While we do anticipate players wearing full tier 3 gear to find some upgrades/sidegrades from new endgame dungeons, the big draw will be in Karazahn and higher.

A note on leveling time from 60 -70 in the BC:

The time it will take will of course vary from player to player (skill, gear, play style, etc.), so there is no real accurate way to specify a length of time. We're still in the process of determining and adjusting the leveling curve, but we want to make sure it's a 'good length' so that it accurately takes advantage of the new content and still provides a challenge.

I don't think it can be specified as similar to a specific level range as of yet, as we're still adjusting the leveling curve as we continue development on the expansion content. 

How will Level 70 affect Molten Core etc:

We don't plan to touch existing raid dungeons such as Molten Core, or Blackwing Lair. If level 70 players wish to organize smaller groups to see what can be accomplished, we're all for it. It's no different than a level 60 player going back to Scarlet Monastery to test his skills or farm for items. Basically, these raid dungeons will no longer be "end-game" content, and will serve as leveling/passing through dungeons. It's exciting to level your character and revisit an area of the game which once posed a deadly challenge.
